Different now but same as before...

I look at some of your blogs and I think how different you guys are... the way you look, the way you express yourself, your thoughts and your ideals... well blogs are not exactly the best way to see someone but u see a glimpse of their lives through what they write on their blogs... For those I haven't been catching up with, your changes surprise me in many ways but I can still see the essence of the you that I know... the feeling like you can meet up tomorrow and realize it still feels like yesterday... pretty amazing...

Though I feel sad sometimes reading the blogs because people think that containing sadness is strength... I guess just like men don't like people to see them cry... but it's so much harder to contain sadness and paint a picture that everything is still ok and life is going to be better when sometimes it just doesn't seem that way.. It's something I haven't gone through but I do think that what can't kill you will definitely make you stronger... I have gone through some shit in life... not the same shit that others might be going through... but I'd like to think that I'm a stronger person now than before I left Singapore...

Laugh but cry as well... that's life...

No regrets...

Just thinking... if I were to die tomorrow...

Think I will regret not saying goodbye to all the people I love... friends and family...

Not being able to live to see more of the world... the world 30 years from now... what would it be like?

I would also probably regret not experiencing love and love lost in a relationship... they write poems, songs and make movies about this... 'tis a pity that I never experienced it...

I hope that I have lived a meaningful life so far... There aren't many regrets in my life... I am loved by my family and friends... and guess that's more than good enough for me..

Anything can happen and I hope I can remember not to take living another day for granted...
I think it's important to know that you are loved and to tell people you care about them...

Mr Bojangles- by Jerry Jeff Walker

I would like to share the lyrics to a song that I really like. There are not many songs today that speak out so sincerely to me.

Mr Bojangles

I knew a man Bojangles and he'd dance for you
In worn out shoes
Silver hair and ragged shirt and baggy pants
He did the old soft shoe
He jumped so high he jumped so high
Then he'd lightly touch down

I met him in a cell in New Orleans
I was down and out
He looked to me to be the eyes of age
As he spoke right out
He talked of life he talked of life
He laughed slapped his leg a step

He said the name Bojangles and he danced a lick across the cell
He grabbed his pants a better stance then he jumped so high
He clicked his heels
He let go a laugh oh he let go a laugh

Shook back his clothes all around

Mr. Bojangles
Mr. Bojangles
Mr. Bojangles
Dance

He danced for those at minstrel shows and county fairs throughout the South
He spoke with tears of fifteen years how his dog and him traveled about
His dog up and died he up and died
After twenty years he still grieves

He said I dance now at every chance in honky tonks for drinks and tips
But most o' the time I spend behind these county bars
Hell I drinks a bit
He shook his head and as he shook his head
I heard someone ask him please.

Mr. Bojangles
Mr. Bojangles
Mr. Bojangles

Some things to be thankful for...

1. I am still alive

I can be sad, a little depressed, angry, pissed but really, I don't want to die...
"I'm not scared of dying I just don't want to" - Come Undone, Robbie Williams

2. I am healthy

I can still walk, run, dance, shout, laugh, listen, feel, see, smell...

3. I have food to eat, water to drink, shelter above my head

Not everyone in the world can say this...

4. Tragedies have not happened to me

Everyone I love is still with me... my mum, dad, sister, friends...
My life is peaceful and I have not gone through any life changing traumas...
I don't live in a war-plagued country... I don't wake up to sounds of bombs, gunshots, screams...

I am not always grateful for things and people in my life... but at this point of time, I am...
