Happy again...

Man... can't tell u how happy it is that we have moved out... I just finished eating some of my mum's home-cooked food: rice with campbell mushroom soup poured on top... she calls it the lazy rice.. cos u don't need to do much but it taste damn good...

I missed my mum's cooking... and I have been eating more now that we are on our own... it'll definitely help me gain back some much needed weight... =)
Anyway I'm pretty sick of outside food... so even today when I finished work at 9.30pm I went home then ate my dinner.. ya la quite late... but give and take... either no nutrition and crappy outside food or irregular eating hours... hahha...

I have also signed up for my classes next semester... things are looking good... except I have to wake up pretty early.. my classes start at 9am... and I am a little further from the school now...
I'm most excited about my dance composition class... will let u guys know how that would be like...

Only thing is I have a sore throat... i guess from sleeping too late... so will be resting more these few weeks... and will not be online as much... haha... meaning probably another 3 months before u see me online..

Sara and Joyce will both be coming to SF in a week or so... hopefully i'll remember to take more photos with them... will start planning where to bring them and all... hopefully my sore throat would have recovered by then...

Alright... going liao...

Will write soon...

Lovely day...

Thought I might write a little today too cos today is such a nice day. Today marks the last day of my modern dance class. It was incredibly wonderful to be dancing again. I can't wait to do it again next semester. Modern dance has always been very liberating for me and is my favourite dance form because it allows me to explore with myself. It is not the best genre for my body cos I am not all that graceful but it is by far the most wonderful way for me to express myself...

I got to know some really nice people through the class... and it made my class so much more enjoyable.. =)

Still haven't really unpacked everything and still much to do in the house. I will have to work harder cos I need the money to come back to Singapore and for my planned trip to Japan with Eiji.. Eiji is my colleague at work and he's from Japan... so who else better to show me around Japan than him? Really looking forward to the trip... just hope I have the money by then...

Been missing chinese music quite a bit these days... yesterday I was going on youtube looking for Tao Ze's songs to listen to... but it's hard just because every 4 minutes you have to stop whatever you are doing and go find another song... So then I wanted to buy some chinese music from online... oh my, it's freaking expensive la.. it's US$18 average for a CD.. aye then I might as well wait until i come back and then go on a crazed chinese CD shopping spree right? Guess I'll just wait then... can also hang out more often at Quickly here cos they always have some chinese concerts or MVs on their TV... haha...

So happy that two of my friends are coming to San Francisco! Sara will be coming first and then Joyce... =) Can't wait can't wait! Still too lazy to get my license so will be taking the public transport to travel around the city... haha they definitely won't complain about SBS or SMRT after this experience...

Alright will give more updates as they come... take care u all...

The Cranberries - Just My Imagination

Dedicated to this space...

No complains

So... I was gonna find some time to sit down and write a little... The subject says it all... I have no complains about my life... there's a lot to be happy for... and if I only see what I don't have or keep wishing for things that I did have... then I guess I'll never really be a very happy person...

So that's what I'll try to do... to see the present for all that I have and be glad about it...

Moving in to a new place, there is a lot of things that we still need to buy and sort out... but we are getting there... my parents are evidently happier and less stressful which in turns makes me so much more relieved... my sister is in a new phase of her life and also enjoying it...

For me? well... I am dancing again.... i'm stiff and a little uncomfortable having stopped for some time but the feeling of dancing is indescribable... it's very liberating that I can do this again...

It was crazy but I cried in class today... the teacher asked us to think about a place that I like being in while we closed our eyes and I thought of the path that I used to walk home from Kembangan MRT station... it was quiet and serene and even at 11pm, there was no paranoia or fear... I missed that very much...

Then I thought about sitting at East Coast Park... I cycled there once to read V for Vendetta... there was salt on my skin, I was sticky all over but the breeze and the sunlight on my face... I thought nothing of it then but now, I missed being alone with myself... having no obligation to speak or fill gaps of silence among people... or even with myself...

So today when we got to sit down and be silent and still with myself, I couldn't really contain my emotions... I haven't been with myself for such a long time that it overwhelmed me...

Thankfully no one saw me crying, I didn't burst out in tears but I will tearing... it was a happy moment for me today...

I look forward to coming back to Singapore... I will be saying this everytime... just as I have been saying i want to leave macy's for the past 12 months... a year will fly by before I know it... will be seeing everyone soon...

Love,
Rachel~
